POLICE are searching for the driver of a sportscar who allegedly approached a teenage girl in Sydney's west, waving money at her.
About 1.30pm (AEST) yesterday a 13-year-old girl was walking at the intersection of Buller and Fennel streets at Parramatta.
"As she crossed Buller Street, a man in a 90s model silver sports car with a rear spoiler and standards wheels which appeared to have no number plates, pulled up next to the girl and spoke to her," police said.
"The girl ignored the man and crossed the road before the vehicle did a U-turn at the top of the street and drove past her as she entered (a) business premises."
When the girl left the business a short time later the same car stopped next to her again.
"The driver waved what appeared to be money at the girl. She ignored him and he drove away," police said.
The girl went to police and gave a description of the man and his car.
He is of white/European appearance, aged in his late 40s to early 50s, with short blond hair, blue eyes, a red face with acne welts and was overweight.
At the time of the incident the man wore a business suit.
