THE Federal Government give up to $22 million to keep ABC Learning childcare centres open until the end of the year.
Education Minister Julia Gillard said the Government had reached an agreement with the receivers of the company and banks to ensure the centres remained open until then.
"The $22 million represents the possible cost of supporting the continued operation of these centres for two months and will allow parents to have the certainty that child care will be provided as usual in that period and will also provide stability for employees of ABC Learning," she said.
