When I first came into activism I was surprised by one of the first people I came across, one Erin Pizzey.
On paper Erin, who established the safe homes for mothers and children in violent homes, should be prime candidate for all women's rights beyond her refuges, but instead this 'merchant for commonsense' has swung the pendulum back for equality in parenting and showing that most men are not the ogres they are often portrayed.
Coming full circle and having offered Family Court from a fathers perspective though trying to show balance that many mothers too can suffer within Secret Courts. Today I object to the violence towards women in Asia in the name of honour. I believe the focus should be on the eradication of such methods under all circumstances!
