A MAN has pleaded guilty to killing his de facto's newborn baby.
Matthew Andrew Riseley, 22, of Logan, appeared briefly in the Supreme Court in Brisbane this morning where he was arraigned before Justice Debbie Mullins.
He pleaded not guilty to the murder of 19-day-old Isaac James Lazarus, but guilty to his manslaughter.
The crown accepted his plea to the lesser charge.
Baby Isaac died on November 10, 2007, just hours after being taken to hospital from his mother's home at Loganlea, south of Brisbane, with a fractured skull and fractured ribs.
No details of the allegations were read out in court.
Riseley was remanded in custody and will be sentenced in May.
