A STABBED woman ran to her neighbour's house calling for help after a man and a two-year-old boy were killed in her Adelaide home in what police describe as a "horrific" domestic dispute.

Officers were called to a house in Charlson Street, at Davoren Park, in the city's north, about 2am (CDT) on Monday.

They found the bodies of a 24-year-old man and the toddler, along with the injured 21-year-old woman and the baby girl.

The woman and the girl were both undergoing surgery for non-life-threatening injuries.

Detective Chief Inspector Joanne Shanahan said the woman had raised the alarm.

"She contacted the neighbour to say she had been injured and her children had been injured and police attended the house immediately," Det Chief Insp Shanahan said.

"We believe all parties reside at those premises and they are known to us.

"It is largely domestic related.

"It is a horrific incident."

Police said a weapon, suspected of being used in the attack, had been found at the house, but would not further provide details.

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact police.

What will happen with this case... swept under the carpet... no details given.. So the mother gets off, avoiding jail time cos she has to look after her daughter or was it really self defense?? Speculation is all us mere mortals can ever do sometimes
