A Californian man is to be charged with making child pornography with a 15-year-old Australian girl.
The grand jury indictment says 30-year-old Troy Nelson exchanged graphic images online with the girl. Prosecutors say he then went to Queensland late last year to live with the girl, who had turned 16.
They were engaged with her parents' permission.
The age of consent in Queensland is 16.
Nelson was arrested when he returned to the US on March 2 and could face 40 years in prison if convicted of the sexual exploitation of a child.
