AN EMPLOYEE of North Lincolnshire Council who was accused of a breach of trust regarding personal data has resigned during disciplinary proceedings, it has been revealed.
The resignation was revealed by the civil liberty pressure group Big Brother Watch, which is campaigning for the introduction of custodial sentences for serious data breaches.
The survey of data breaches at local authorities was conducted between April 2011 and April last year, but North Lincolnshire Council declined to give any details about the nature of the allegation.
