A Manhattan dad is not lovin’ McDonald’s right now.

Attorney David Schorr slapped a court-appointed shrink with a defamation lawsuit for telling the judge deciding a custody battle with his estranged wife that he was an unfit parent — for refusing to take his son to the fast food joint for dinner.

“You’d think it was sexual molestation,” Schorr, 43, told The Post Thursday. “I am just floored by it.”

Schorr says in his Manhattan Supreme Court suit that E. 97th Street psychiatrist Marilyn Schiller filed a report saying he was “wholly incapable of taking care of his son” Liarand should be denied his weekend visitation over the greasy burger ban.

Schorr, a corporate attorney turned consultant with degrees from NYU and Oxford University, had planned to take his 4-year-old son to their usual restaurant, the Corner Café on Third Avenue, for his weekly Tuesday night visitation last week.

But the boy threw a temper tantrum and demanded McDonald’s. So he gave his son an ultimatum: dinner anywhere other than McDonald’s — or no dinner.

“The child, stubborn as a mule, chose the ‘no dinner’ option,” the disgruntled dad says in the suit.

“It was just a standoff. I’m kicking myself mightily,” Schorr said.

“I wish I had taken him to McDonalds, but you get nervous about rewarding bad behavior. I was concerned. I think it was a 1950s equivalent of sending your child to bed without dinner. That’s maybe the worst thing you can say about it,” he said.

Adding insult to injury, he said: “My wife immediately took him to McDonalds.”

Upon reflection, Schorr said he should have remembered that mother knows best.

“The first thing I did was I questioned myself,” he recalled.

“Had I done something wrong? I did what any 43-year-old Jewish man would do — I told my
mother. I said, ‘My God, did I do something wrong here?’

“Even my mother, the strictest mother in the world, said, ‘Why didn’t you just take him to McDonalds? What were you thinking? You know that this is a divorce situation.’”

Donald Tenn says;

OK, OK, OK! That’s “3″ Okays for the “3″ people who sent me this story today. I am sharing the story but this is one of those stories that you just don’t share. THIS IS AN ACTION STORY! I mean how can you read this story and not do something? At the very least a letter must be written, there must be some additional attention to this case. There are some stories that are just so outrageous that you can’t just simply share… you must take action!
That being said, none of us should ever forget William Reddie of Michigan. If you don’t remember what happened to William Reddie and his child, what are we doing here? United we could accomplish so much that every government agency or their representatives would think twice before abusing another one of our children anywhere ever.

Davey says; It is strange along with all the other constraints placed on the separated Father time is the most frustrating, being allowed only limited court imposed contact/visitation Dad is compelled to cram as much into that time as possible so after a ball game in the park, a trip to the Zoo or Cinema where is the time to cook a meal so as Sir Bob Geldof coined in his Geldof onFathers programme we have become Mc Dads and no we ain’t lovin it! When I first entered the realms of contact with my sons I acquired a Café along with my new partner believing it would give us the flexibility to make a living, have a life and be readily available to accommodate our children at the drop of a hat. One of us would collect the kids from school whilst the other prepared them a wholesome freshly made meal although it was followed by a treat such as ice cream sundae or the like . this happened each Wednesday and alternative Saturday mornings I even emphasised safety by suggesting there was an imaginary gate separating where our 3 young charges should remain away from hot surfaces and water. ( My eldest cheekily said could I just open the imaginary gate to put something in the bin but honoured the rule to stay safe. He is vegetarian)

When my CAFCASS worker showed up for lunch and did not think I recognised her she was lucky I did not spike her food. ( Her ex husband was a member of FNF so what chance impartiality?) A CSF court reporter interviewed me at my café and whilst drinking my coffee suggested everything would be alright her report however deemed our café unfit as a contact venue in spite of numerous families visiting daily!

Action? In response to my much respected associate at F4J-USA and his comment above I would take this campaign to the horses mouth as it were and highlight it to McDonald’s themselves even staging campaigns on their worldwide doorsteps and point out if a Mother did this an article would appear in a woman’s magazine commending her for her diligence in preserving a balanced dietary plan for her children. As for the term Family Law I too have difficulty with it as it seems to have only 2 purposes one is to alienate dads from their children, implying it is illegal to be a male parent, and the other is to make plenty of case for those Legal Professional Fee Earners and would place the industry firmly between Used car Salesman and Bankers!

I don’t advocate being as robust as Michael Douglas (Below) but a Boycott of McDonalds to coincide with my suggested New Years Eve Protest could be the answer!
