The children had not been seen for six weeks after disappearing from Mr Robertson's home.
It is yet to be confirmed whether three missing children who were found in northern Tasmania yesterday have been re-united with their mother.
It is alleged that 59-year-old South African-born Murray Robertson disappeared with his children, all aged under 10, during a custody visit six weeks ago.
Australian Federal Police (AFP) say they will facilitate the return of the children to their mother when instructed to by the Family Court.
An AFP spokeswoman has refused to say whether the mother and children have been re-united, saying the matter now rests with the Family Court.
The mother of the three children, Philippa Yelland, was expected to have flown into Launceston last night from Brisbane.
The children had not been seen for six weeks after disappearing from Mr Robertson's home in the Blue Mountains.
The children were found with Mr Roberston at a house in Launceston yesterday.
As of last night Mr Robertson had not been charged.
