The boss of a public sector agency that helps Victorians with wills and related services has been accused of misuse of finances, prompting an internal inquiry.
State Trustees Victoria chief executive Craig Dent stood aside in February after the allegations were raised by the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance.
"The allegations do not involve client funds. It would not be appropriate for us to comment further while the investigation is underway," State Trustees Victoria chair Jenny Acton said in a statement on Wednesday.
Premier Daniel Andrews said there would be a "proper, full and frank investigation".
Opposition Leader Matthew Guy backed the probe, which is being conducted by the board of the agency.
