New Banking Code of Practice commences 1 July 2019

With the Royal Commission being a fizzer it looks like more ABA SPIN than a WIN for customers and investors — Only time, the actions of banks and people will tell.

The new Banking Code is a set of enforceable standards that customers, small businesses, and their guarantors can expect from Australian banks.

Part A: Introduction
Part 1: How the Code works
Part 2: Your banking relationship
Part 3: Opening an account and using our banking services
Part 4: Inclusive and accessible banking
Part 5: When you apply for a loan
Part 6: Lending to small business
Part 7: Guaranteeing a loan
Part 8: Managing your account
Part 9: When things go wrong
Part 10: Resolving your complaint
